How to add page numbers

  1. Choose your PDF.
  2. Pick a position, such as bottom centre, and a style, such as “Page 1 of 10”.
  3. Set the starting page if you want to skip a cover page.
  4. Click Add page numbers.

Tips

  • Skip the cover: set “Start on page” to 2 and “First number” to 1.
  • Bundles and court documents often use bottom right numbering.
  • Choose grey rather than black for a subtle, professional look.

Frequently asked questions

Do rotated pages get numbered correctly?

Yes. Numbers are placed the right way up, even on pages that have been rotated.

Can I use letters or Roman numerals?

Not at the moment – the tool adds standard numbers.

Will the numbers cover my content?

If your pages have content close to the edge, choose “Wide” distance or move the numbers to the top.
